Yeong-Ren, Jean

Dr. Yeong-Ren Jean obtained his PhD in Applied Mathematics from the National Chung-Hsing University in Taiwan. His PhD dissertation won the Second Place of the Award of the CHUNG HSING Science given by the university. He is an Honorary Member of the Phi Tau Phi Scholastic Honor Society of the Republic of China. He is currently an associate professor of the Department of Computer Science and Information Management at Providence University in Taiwan. He won the Award of Outstanding Teacher three times (1996, 1998 and 2004). His research interests include image database systems and XML.
